A subtle lesson in aware breathing

This lesson has been recorded with a person in mind.
It's a subtle easy slow gentle lesson, with some detail on the anatomy and structure of the thoracic spine. Just a little, but enough to spark interest.
The lesson is not designed to be a medical treatment and if you are worried in any way that moving may be problematic, then speak to your physician before doing the work.
However, you can always do this just in your imagination either in sitting or side lying.
I mention a pillow support system in the lesson. It's the Lejrelet System and here is the link
Here is a link to a youtube about the thoracic spine, some time back uploaded about 2015 I believe.
Here is one of the other lessons on the thoracic spine, but quite an advanced one

This Clinical Feldenkrais BSMA lesson was written with a particular client in mind, and uploaded to share. It's not meant to be a medical treatment for any or everybody with a clinical condition and as always, do check with your physician before you do any new bodywork, if you have any concerns.
The lesson is designed to be an exploration, in the laboratory of your life and to aid your own discoveries. Do leave a message if you find you have any interesting responses to completing the lesson and if you want to know more about this then you can book to have a conversation through my calendar. Note time scale is UK time zone. CALENDAR LINK
Note: Hyperesthesia is an increase in the sensitivity of any of your senses, such as sight, sound, touch, and smell. It can affect just one or all of the senses. Often, the heightening of an individual sense is referred to by a separate name For example, increased sensitivity of touch is called tactile sensitivity, and increased sensitivity of sound is called auditory sensitivity.
Everyone has hyperesthesia to some extent, so it's a natural response, however some people have problems that cause increased constraint and debility.
There is an interesting article on the topic HERE

Lying Exploring Eyes
Hi, today I'm visiting a client who is 83 and she is too frightened to get out of bed, stand and walk.
When I go to see her I will be starting with some gentle work to not only find out where she is happy to move, but also to boost her confidence.
She has a history of starting to go off her feet before a fall some 4 months ago and vision is very important.
This kind of process is something you can explore with and imagine what it would be like to be confined to a bed all day. Notice what you can see if you move your head and if you dont.
Have fun and do come join me and everybody else at my Feldenkrais Facebook page
